Description: The Phoenix Drop-In Center is a resocialization program for those living in Beaver County with a history of Mental Illness. We offer a friendly place where people can relax and have fun, as well as join in support groups, committee meetings, arts and crafts, and a variety of games. Greeter's Duties & Responsiblities: " Create a welcoming and stress-free environment for all members of the drop-in center by consistently displaying a positive and friendly attitude. " Meet and greet visitors and returning members. " Orientate newcomers to the drop-in center. " Staff the sign in post. " Operate telephone system; transfer and take messages appropriately. " Assist with the daily activities at the center when needed. " Maintain a sense of order within the center based on the Advisory Committee and Phoenix Center guidelines. " Empower peers to thrive in all aspects of life. " Treat all persons at the drop-in center with dignity and respect. " Open or close the center as required. " Ensure sign-in sheets and other Phoenix Center forms are properly completed throughout the day. " Attend on-going trainings as related to the Greeter position. " Work under the limited supervision of the Drop-In Center Coordinator and direct supervision of the Drop-In Center Peer Mentors. " Perform other duties as directed by supervisors. The Phoenix Center is typically open Monday-Friday, 10:00 am  5:00 pm. The position is available in full shifts (10-5) or half days (10-2 and 2-5). The greeter will generally be required to work with another greeter during their shift.
